Thank You

I would like to say a sincere Thank You for your overwhelming support of my give away. Both myself and Pat Hatt are touched by your response.

The genesis of this give away began many months ago when I contacted Pat to commission him to do the Dettol Wars Video some of you saw over at Fran's place. Pat agreed to do the work, but he refused to allow me to pay him for it. Making that video cost him more money than did this give away, yet he gave of himself freely.  It was then that I offered to paint a figure to promote one of his books to compensate him in some way for his work.

We agreed that he would donate one copy of his book and I the figure and that would be it. Now Pat knows what you all mean to me and a few hours before going to post I got an email from him. "Anne, these are your people and I can't expect them to help me out like this, so I'm going to add a $50.00 gift certificate." I tried to explain to him that gamers don't need that, they help because it is in their nature to do so. He would hear nothing of it and so the give away is as stands.

Now the silly fool of a man still feels like he has taken more than he has been given. Would you please help me put his mind at ease by stopping briefly by his blog today and simply say "Hello Pat".  Perhaps then, he will feel, as I have come to feel, that he is an adopted member of our community.

Pat can be found at his blog It's Rhyme Time where he posts 365 days a year. Did I mention he's a workaholic?

  1. Pat is a giver! And a positive force in this community. The video he did for me last week was just awesome. Some people give 110% all the time. He's one of them.

    1. Those vids are great aren't they. He's always working on something. Writing books, blogging, doing videos, teaching at Udemy, working at his job. I don't think he's human.

    1. They are so cute and my Fang loves my dog Naruto like that. She'll snuggle right by him and purr and purr. She ignores the other dogs, they are beneath her. Naruto respects her and understand she is his owner.

His workaholism patronizes me I can't keep up with him. :)

On lighter note , I don't like this one. I like you chewing cat's head off. This makes him sound like a Canadian. :)

  15. I will be nice to Pat but I just can't find it in me to be nice to the cat. Let me try....nope, can't do it. (Also managed to fit in some ellipsis's for you too!)

Pat is such a rock star. The man never stops working. His mind is always churning with new ideas and creativity. I'm glad you did this for him. He deserves a shout out.

  18. Anne,

What a lovely message and a great collaboration between the two of you. Pat is always generous as he entertains us daily on his blog with interesting rhyming posts, video's and books. He often incorporates his followers into his creations which gives us all a good laugh. He has a mind that never stops.

Your miniatures are wonderful I can see all the detail and care you put into them.

  22. Pat's a great guy, and every time I think we're overwhelmed with projects, I just remember what he does. Posts 365 times a year, makes videos, put up a song today. Probably working on a movie and getting a Master's degree in Nuclear Physics in his free time. I don't know how he does it.
