200,000 Page Views!

Let me begin by saying Thank You to everyone who has tolerated me for so long. Without your patience and your time, I would not be writing this today.

To go with my new venture I commissioned a promotional video for O'Leary Miniatures with Patrick Hatt. Pat knows me pretty well and I gave him creative license to do as he pleased and I'm very happy with the results.

Yes, I do plan on opening an eBay store for O'Leary Miniatures, but that is a goal. In order to achieve that goal, there are steps that I must first take.  One of those steps involves making some changes to my blog.

My content will become more serious. You will be seeing product reviews, W.I.P.'s, and posts on painting technique and photography. I am currently having my work critiqued by Kris Marquardt  who serves as a judge at the ReaperCon painting contests. I will be sharing the depth of those critiques on this blog.

In conjunction with Kris, I will be doing a detailed step-by-step tutorial on "How to Paint a Babe" and will post that here as well.

Further, it is time for me to create vignettes. Currently I am working on the Billiards Vignette from Knuckleduster and I will be scratch building an interior for that.  Following that, I have a wee bit of a challenge with some figures from Thunderbolt Mountain.

I will be making a vignette using Tom Meiers Ballerina Princess Fairy Infantry and two of his Goblin Archers. This is going to be difficult and I may be hitting you guys up for some ideas.

I can't stress this last point too much. Patrick Hatt has been instrumental in getting me to this point. If you are interested in having a promotional video done, you may contact Pat at support@pathattbooks.com

Tell him Anne sent you and he just might cut you a deal.

      Thank you Andrew!

  2. Congratulations on getting so may views Anne and I know how much these miniatures have meant to you so I'm glad to see you moving further along in that direction and doing what you want to do. I hope the eBay shop goes well and if I may offer a suggestion I would say consider putting things on Etsy too.

  21. So much good news all around! Where do I begin? First off, congrats on the pageviews! Even just reaching 6 digits is no small achievement. At this rate, a million's only around the corner.

Second, that's awesome about the E-bay store. We can't wait to see it, and we'll be happy to support any way we can.

Lastly, we've seen the videos Pat's done for John, and he's gotten really good at those. I hope we see cartoon-Anne more in the future!

  22. Congrats on it all and good luck with your new direction! I'm fascinated by the glimpse your blog gives me of the world of painting miniatures.

  23. congratulations on the hits; very impressive for the time you've been doing this. Good luck with the Ebay store; I've found Ebay easier to search and navigate than ETSY.

  25. Congratulations Anne. I can't wait to see what you do with this and I for one will be happy to read any pointers you care to give. Good luck with the next phases of the project.

  26. Congrats again, on the new venture and the site hits! I like? Ebay, but that is more for the consumer end and finding the OOP stuff and hard to find items, not for selling. I'll have to ask my sister where she sells stuff. She used to Ebay sell a lot of art and photos, but she found another site where the sellers are not gouged of money like ebay does.

I do like that Cat. Don't tell him though.

    1. Fran, we're Irish and the world likes to stomp us into the ground. If our people didn't have it in them to get back up each and every time, there'd be no free Ireland today. When things turn to absolute shit in my life I think about Connolly refusing the blindfold when he was shot to death. He looked those feckers in the eye when he went. We're not quitters.
