I Didn't Go To Salute!

Some of us were not able to attend Salute yesterday and really I think we should all write a post about what we did while the rest of you were having fun.

After I got done mowing the lawn, I painted. Since then I've been commenting on Salute posts and boy are my fingers tired!

    1. I just sent you 2 final edit pics of completed figures. I hope you like them.

More snow? I'd open a vein if it were still snowing here. My grass is growing tall already.

    2. how are your flowers? Are they blooming with the first sun of spring? I have a few violets and tulips and the fruit trees are in bloom now here in Europe.

    1. I did get to buy a new mower this year. I've been using one that I got at a jumble sale for $10.00 and thankfully it died!

    1. Our friend Kris is at ReaperCon and it's killing me. I'm happy for him, but at the same time, I'm jealous.

    2. Reaper Con looked pretty cool, may have to consider that for the future!

    1. A lot of people are still living with snow. We've finally had enough sun and rain that the grass was getting out of hand. Tulips have bloomed and next come the Iris.

    1. It seems like it doesn't it? It's been nice reading everyone's posts, but it does make one feel a bit lonely at the same time.

    1. Thank you. I've been busy reading tutorials, asking questions and applying what I've learned. I hope all of that shows on my next couple of figures.

  11. It's a shame you didn't get to go but you didn't waste your day at least and still got some painting done. While the boys were out buying figures and watching other people use them, you were doing something productive.

    1. There were three big conventions this weekend. ReaperCon, Salute and The Crystal Brush. Would have been nice to go to one of them.

  12. My mate went to Salute and all he got me was a lousy mobile (cellphone) picture of someone else's T-shirt!

    1. It's the largest gaming convention in Europe. I got loads of things done and am pretty tired. Early bed tonight.

  14. Awww at least you got things done, eh? And commenting sure is no easy task when it's back to as much as you probably did.

  15. Not a bad idea to post what one did instead. I went to my daughters birthday party at Dave & Busters (a restaurant with carnival games in it) and served kids soft drinks and lemonade. She had a great time and I think the other girls did as well. Oh yeah I also blew of the race I was signed up for because I feared that I was feeling well enough to forget I'm not totally healed and do myself real damage.

    1. That was time well spent Sean. I remember when mine were little and truly those were the very best days of my life. I didn't know you were a runner. So much sadness about the Boston Marathon. Truly heartbreaking.

  16. At least my crap apartment has no lawn, that is the only plus and seen a post or two on Salute too. Seems like all had a grand time.

    1. Now that I have a new mower I don't mind so much. Jaysus, The Hubby always makes me buy them second-hand at jumble sales and it's horrid. This year I put my foot down and got a new one. You would all be shocked to know that The Hubby rules the roost in my house. 'Tis true, I'm very docile and I do what he tells me most of the time. Very traditional roles in my home.
