Anne's Epic Giveaway!

Giveaway fever is spreading like a contagion around the blogosphere right now. Because I've won so many of them I feel the crawling, itching need to grow my blog/spread this infection by doing my own EPIC GIVEAWAY.

In an unprecedented attempt at blog whoring, I've devised a giveaway designed to increase my pageviews/please as many people as possible. (There is an item for non-gamers/painters as well).

WHEN I HIT 80,0000 PAGEVIEWS these are the items I will be giving away.

For the 1/72 enthusiast-from Zvezda. Six samurai warriors with bases, banner, unit stand and unit card.

For the 15mm enthusiast-from Blue Moon Manufacturing. Twenty four WWI American infantry command.

For the painting enthusiast-from Tom Meier. A 54mm Scottish Highlander cast in resin.

For the readers out there-A paperback edition of Chasing the Sandman by Brandon Meyers of ABFTS fame.

The rules are as follows.

1. You must publicly follow this blog.
2. Leave a comment indicating which prize or prizes you're interested in winning (you can only win one however).
3.  Multiple comments gives you multiple entries. So if you comment 5 times on this post, you're name goes into the draw five times.
4.  Comments on THIS POST ONLY count towards the prize draw.

I will be putting up reminders with a link back to this post in future.

There's one more element to this contest and that's the TMP exclusive prize available only to TMP'ers. What is that prize you ask and how does it work? Wait about an hour after this posts and head on over there. I post under AnneOleary.  And yes, if you're a TMP'er you can enter in both prize draws. Please, please, please some of you enter that draw and help a girl out.

So push that button people and pimp my blog.

I learned this from the best of you boys:)

  2. Nice one Anne, put me down for the cat, or if the cats not part of the game, the book shall do.

    Blog whore...Nasty!

    1. No, the cat's not up for grabs. It does look exactly like my kitty Fang. She's a vicious little bugger and I treat her like a princess.

I'll put you down for the book.

Hey, I learned that term from you guys:)

  3. Congratulations, Anne! Not entering - just here for the spectacle.

  5. Blog whoring seems to be something I have mixed results with. However if I was to win something I would want the book.

  6. This is genius, also I am sure this can be achieved fairly quickly - the power of bloggers if there is free stuff involved.

  7. So are you looking for 800,000 pageviews or 80,000? There's either an extra zero or an errent comma. Either way, I hope you achieve your lofty goals! I'll take the book or the Scottish Highlander, thank you. What? I didn't win yet? Rats.

    1. It's 80,000. I'm a dolt it seems. I'll put you in for both!

  8. I have no problems with blog trolloping and such sluttyblog behaviours. Put me down for the old Highlander - looks like one of me cousins from Tasmania [shudder]

Your excellent blog is so well pimped already I could not think how to improve on it!

  9. I'm reading Shogun right now, so those Samurai are kind of interesting/tempting/mywanna, but I think they'd be happier in the hands of a gamer. But like Alex, I'm gonna enjoy the spectacle of watching your readers tear each other's hair out and gouge each other in the eye to get their hands on these prizes. Fun! :P

    1. I'd be interested in seeing what you'd do with him. Meir has a mounted Napoleon in 54mm in the same style that is just killer.

  13. Being a blog whore is lots of fun, always done under my sun, for the cat has an ego issue at his sea, it rises and causes him glee. Plus with plenty of tricks on the go, many seem to show. Would rather have one win the figures that can paint as all that would happen here I fear as the cat would eat them, no joke and on them he'd choke. So the book is grand, for our land. And i think you missed a comma there or added an extra zero at your lair. But the cat will let that slide, after all saying oh so nice things about him at John's blog, that had to make you throw up in your mouth, punishment enough hahaha

    ReplyDelete

    1. Do i win for having the biggest comment here?

      Delete
    2. Dressing that cat up is so mean I fear

      Delete
    3. No sicking up on that comment. I meant it, truly I did. Those videos are so good and they got me to buy the book. Now that's effective salesmanship there.

Go on all day as I need more pageviews. It's time I began running with the big dogs around here!

      Delete
    4. Can do the videos now with ease, They are fun to do and are easy to do with my left arm too haha big dogs pffft to that although actual big dogs are liked by the cat. And yeah his book is good too, read it a while back at my zoo.

All kinds of things you can do to get there. Having no life and confined to a chair works at my lair hahaha

      Delete
    5. He's really funny and all the people he worked with are so cool. I've read the first couple of pages and it's going to be a good one. Glad you met him Cat.

      Delete
    6. Yeah random as can be and now much is being done with him and me. Guess you just never know who will show.

      Delete
    7. I'm looking forward to it.

    8. Might want to re-think that, I am just a figment of Pat's imagination after all.

  14. Greetings, Anne. I knew I was visiting your blog by the non-conforming non-subtle humor wonderfully woven throughout your word crafting. These are nice offerings. "To the victor, goes the figures of that ones choice."

    ReplyDelete

    1. Did you go to TMP and see what's on offer there? Quite spicy!

      Delete
  15. This is very cool! Since we're technically a part of it, we want to say a huge thank you, but obviously we're not entering the contest. We'd rather the figures go to someone who will truly appreciate them.

First 80,000, then 100,000, then THE WORLD!

    1. With kitty Fang by my side how could I go wrong. Meier did a collection of these figures for his children and they are based on a highly stylized British book series. They're meant to be tongue in cheek.

There are some sculpts of handsome Highlanders out there. Those are above my skill level at the moment. But one day...

      Delete
    2. will you paint your Highlanders some undies or will you leave them barebummed under their kilts? :)

      Delete
    3. They are always barebummed under their kilts. And men can't figure out what it is about men in kilts that turn us women on. Silly, silly men.

I broke down and got myself a Netflix membership too - why I never did this before is beyond me, but my scammer ways were not working out as I couldn't find the bulk of the second half of season five on any of my free sites. And you know, that $7.99 a month is going to break me...

Netflix is great and you'll find tons of good Britcoms on there. I'm into season 8 now and dreading getting to the end of season 9. I'll start from the beginning on this one. In a couple of months I'll have all the dialogue down and will be doing bits from the show.

I plan to do these things when I get home from work...make dinner...straighten up just enough to make it look like I give a shit (the kids are having a school break at the moment) send the kids outside, adjustment with the chiro and then my ass on the couch finishing off Season 5!!

BTW that cat looks pissed off... then again cats are never happy with us. Like the sign at the front of the house says, "In Ancient times cats were worshipped as gods... they have not forgotten this"... thats why cats are never pleased by us, we don't respect them enough.

    1. My kitty Fang owns me. She was practically feral when I rescued her and I'm the only one that she'll allow to handle her. But with me she's a sweety-pie. She sits beside me when I paint and sleeps on the pillow right by my head. Although currently she's on a hunger strike. She's demanding more expensive food. I'm off to the store directly to get it for her!

      Delete
    2. I wish I had a cat like that... we have 3, the oldest belongs to me, she is very grumpy but can have real moments of utter madness when she becomes like a kitten again. then there are the boys, Montezuma and Cortez, Tez is ginger, fat and brain-damaged, Monty is a real hunter killer and is a fat tabby. tez usually just hunts leaves so is not a problem, but when we gave Monty a bell so he could not hunt very well he got it off in a few days and proceeded to attack it mercilessly.

      Delete
    3. Hahahaha. They sound like quite a crew and it must be fun to watch them go mental. You should give them catnip. I give it to Fang and she spazzes out for a while, then she sleeps like the dead!
